Since Apple’s decision to adopt Qi2, the latest wireless charging standard from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), marks a significant turning point in the wireless charging landscape. With all iPhone 12-15 models already Qi2-certified and the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup set to follow suit, the Qi2 ecosystem is poised for exponential growth.
Qi2 promises a superior wireless charging experience, offering enhanced efficiency, faster charging speeds, and a more secure connection. This enhanced technology is reflected in the growing number of Qi2-certified products hitting the market. As of June 2024, a total of 255 products have received Qi2 certification, spanning desktop chargers, multi-functional chargers, and car chargers.
The Qi2 market is further bolstered by the strong support from major brands. Belkin leads the pack with 16 Qi2-certified products, followed by Anker with 12 certifications. This industry-wide commitment to Qi2 underscores the confidence in the technology’s potential to revolutionize the wireless charging market.
